Medal of Honor: Warfighter Will Not Include Dynamic In-Game Advertising for Console & PC

Medal of Honor: Warfighter is a recently released first-person shooter game developed by Danger Close Games, and published by EA Games. It was released on October 23rd, 2012 in North America, and is the fourteenth installment in the Medal of Honor franchise.

EA has previously featured Dynamic In-Game Advertising in their first-person shooter games like Battlefield 2142, which had ads displayed on billboards throughout online gameplay. For those of you who don’t know, Dynamic In-Game Advertising (DIGA) takes the form of billboards or posters within video games, that can be updated in realtime with advertisements. DIGA is displayed to gamers while they play online (over the internet), so the the ads can be geo-targeted and operated on a CPM basis.

It was our hope here at RapidFire, that there would be ads within Medal of Honor: Warfighter, as we enjoyed the Battlefield 2142 ads which definitely added an increased realism to the game. It has come to our attention though, that unfortunately Medal of Honor: Warfighter will not be featuring Dynamic In-Game Advertising within both the Console (Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii) and PC version of the game.
