Red Bull Stratos: Wow Red Bull is Everywhere

Did anyone catch Red Bull Stratos earlier today? Wow, was it ever huge news all over the World (and out of this World!).

For those of you who haven’t heard, Red Bull Stratos was a record breaking feat where Austrian skydiver Felix Baumgartner flew approximately 39 kilometres (24 mi) into the stratosphere over New Mexico in a helium balloon, before free falling and then parachuting to Earth. Reaching 1342 km/h (833.9 mph)—Mach 1.24—Baumgartner broke the sound barrier on his descent, arguably becoming the first human to do so without vehicular power.

Red Bull fully sponsored this event, which no doubt will garner massive publicity for the company, and in my opinion a great move. Red Bull is well known for it’s sponsorships of big sporting events, and exceptionally creative advertising campaigns.

If you’re to follow any company by example when it comes to advertising and marketing, who better than Red Bull. It’s probably not surprising then to hear that Red Bull has dabbled into In-Game Advertising and Around-Game Advertising.
